All-on-4 is a full-arch tooth replacement treatment. Four titanium implant fixtures are placed into the jawbone to support a fixed prosthesis for the upper jaw, the lower jaw, or both.
Unlike removable dentures, the prosthesis is anchored in place, meaning that it does not rely on adhesives or suction. Whether provisional teeth can be placed on the same day as surgery depends on individual clinical findings and is not standard in every case.
Consultation and treatment planning
Your dentist carries out a full oral examination, reviews your dental and medical history, and assesses your bone volume and remaining teeth. Where clinically appropriate, 3D imaging is used to plan the precise position of each dental implant.
Implant placement surgery
Four fixtures are placed into the jawbone under local anaesthesia. Two are positioned vertically at the front of the arch; two are angled toward the back. Clinical studies indicate that this angled positioning can reduce the need for bone grafting in many cases, though this depends on individual anatomy and is not guaranteed.
Healing and osseointegration
Following surgery, osseointegration (the biological process by which the titanium fixture bonds with the surrounding jawbone) takes place over weeks to months. When osseointegration is successful, it provides the stable foundation the final prosthesis attaches to.
Final prosthesis
Once osseointegration is confirmed, the permanent restoration is fitted. The timeline varies between patients and is assessed at your review appointments.
You may be considered for All-on-4 if you have extensive tooth loss or a failing dentition, or if you have been finding removable dentures difficult to manage day to day.
Your dentist will assess the following at your consultation:
Bone loss does not automatically rule you out, but it does need to be assessed. Suitability is determined case by case.

Removable dentures sit on the gum tissue and can be prone to movement, particularly in the lower jaw.
All-on-4 implants provide a fixed foundation anchored directly into the jawbone, which for many patients translates to greater stability when eating and speaking.
That said, All-on-4 involves surgery and a healing period and is not appropriate for every patient. Your dentist will help you weigh up both options.

Both are implant-supported full-arch solutions, but they differ in structure.
Neither is universally superior. The right choice depends on your bone availability, remaining teeth, prosthetic goals, and your dentist’s clinical assessment.
All-on-4 implant treatment in Singapore is quoted case by case at Garden Dental, following an individual assessment. Because every treatment plan is different, a fixed published price would not accurately reflect what your treatment involves or what it would cost.
During your consultation, your dentist will review your clinical situation and provide a personalised quotation based on your individual circumstances.
Garden Dental is MediSave-accredited, and the clinic processes claims on your behalf.
According to the CPF Board, MediSave covers the surgical placement of dental implants at an operation limit of $1,120 per implant inserted, with a separate day-surgery consumables charge also claimable per session. How much you can claim depends on your MediSave balance, withdrawal limits, and the procedures performed.
CHAS may not cover the surgical placement of the implant fixture itself, though subsidies may apply to the implant crown and preparatory treatments such as tooth extractions. The clinic will advise on eligibility after your assessment.
All-on-4 consultations at Garden Dental are supported by a dental team with experience across restorative dentistry, implant care, and treatment planning. Before any treatment is recommended, your dentist will assess your oral condition and discuss the options clinically appropriate for your case.

Immediately after surgery (first few days)
Some swelling, bruising, and tenderness is normal. Your dentist will advise on pain management, suitable foods, and how to care for the surgical site.

Early healing (weeks to months)
Osseointegration takes place as the implant fixtures bond with the surrounding bone. You will attend review appointments so your dentist can monitor progress.

Final prosthesis fitting:
Once healing is confirmed, the permanent restoration is fitted. The overall timeline varies depending on your healing response, health, and treatment complexity.
All-on-4 is a significant treatment, and the right starting point is an honest assessment of whether it is appropriate for you. At Garden Dental, your consultation involves a full clinical review, a conversation about your options, and a personalised quotation based on your actual treatment plan. There is no obligation beyond that.
